Draftomat releases new features
New update to Draftomat brings two sets of new features to the users. New features respond to two use case scenarios which are typical for law firms and in-house legal departments.
Draftomat for real estate contract management
Real estate companies manage large office portfolios rent substantial number of units. This means loads of MoUs/terms sheets and lease agreements. The companies usually have templates or model document which they customize. Customization means inserting data (unit address, size, rent price etc), selecting one alternative over another and making elections that depend on the parameters of the specific transaction. However, that only partially addresses the workload issue.
How law firms and their clients benefit from Draftomat
New Draftomat user will normally start its good model precedents. The aim is to enable people within the organization to produce documents faster. The next stage for a law firm is to engage clients. Law firm can give its clients access to the database of automated model documents.
Draftomat now enables colaboration on documents!
Draftomat’s new feature called document share, allows user to co-create documents with colleagues or clients. The user can invite a selected group of people inside or outside his organization to access the document and provide missing inputs by answering the remaining questions from the questionnaire.
Key prep steps for document automation
Law firms are generally weary of legaltech. They tend to see adoption of new technology as a disruption. However, it does not have to be like that. To overcome the challenges of document automation, law firms should follow the two key recommendations.
Integration of document automation with other software
Document automation brings various benefits to law firms and legal departments, most important ones being cost cutting, time saving and eliminating errors when drafting. The benefits are even greater when document automation integrates with other software the firm uses.
Automation as opportunity for innovation
Law firms in the CEE region that decide to embrace document automation end up in a win-win situation. With the current state of the market, such firms may reap benefits as innovators by making a low-risk investment given that document automation has been successfully tested and used in the legal market for more than a decade.
